I learned a lot about the Chevrolet Volt Concept and its advantages by watching this video, and I think you will too. Check out the video to watch the unveiling of the Chevrolet Volt concept, which is a new concept featuring GM’s latest plug-in technology and runs solely on electricity to power the wheels. The question now is if it will ever be practical in the every-day life. As said in the video, General Motors assumed that everyone only traveled a certain amount of distance to get to work everyday, however, there are still many who need the extra distance to do everyday errands.

Damn, I wish I wasn’t on Pacific Time so I could be live with the coverage at NAIAS. But life isn’t always fair and unfortunately, things are 3 hours later here than in Chicago. Oh well, I will post content whenever I find any as quick as I can. But for now, enjoy the gallery I set up over at CarPhotoSite of the new ‘07 Chevrolet Volt Concept.
NOTE: You should use Internet Explorer to view the live feeds if you aren’t already doing so. Thanks for the heads up, Nat.

Inside, the tC RS 3.0 has black Alcantara perforated seats against a white background. The sound system begins with a Pioneer 6-inch subwoofer with 35-watts, which completes the package with the standard 160-watt Pioneer audio system.
Only 2,500 exclusive units will be built and the tC Release Series 3.0 will have a starting price tag of $2,580 over the base price, which is $16,400 for the manual transmission and $17,200 for the automatic.
Daimler Chrysler automotive group announced today that unit sales at the Mercedes-Benz division rose by 3 percent in 2006 thanks to an increased interest and demand for its luxury vehicles. Luxury vehicles such as the Maybach and Smart brands also rose in sales, which sold 1.26 million Smart cars. As well as US, sales were also increased in 2006 in various regions such as the Asia-Pacific and Europe.
However, its brother Chrysler announced on Thursday that while unit sales outside North America rised, those in the U.S. market fell by a disappointing 6.6 percent. Overall, Chrysler sales fell by 4.5 percent.
The main growth outside the North Americas for Mercedes-Benz was in China, which was up at 33 percent. Sales in Japan also rose 11 percent. However, the figures of the Smart cars were disappointing and Daimler Chrysler has announced that it will refresh the Smart brand and renew its 2-seat model with the upcoming ForTwo.
In 2006, Maybach sold about 400 limousines and with the appearance of the newly introduced Maybach 62 S, we’re bound to see more happy figures. In total since its introduction in 2002, Maybach has sold around 1,900 units.
What does this mean to you? The luxurious brands of Mercedes-Benz are doing extremely well, while its parent companies, such as Chrysler, isn’t so hot. Mercedes-Benz also reported that sales of the S-Class did extremely well in 2006, so that’s a good thing.
Honda president Takeo Fukui reported to the Japanese press today that a next generation V6 diesel engine will be used on Honda vehicles including the Ridgeline and others. First off, Honda will apply its 2.2-2.4-Liter, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel to its next generation Accord, which is set to unveil in 2009. Of course, once the Accord diesel is on sale, the Hybrid version will quietly disappear. I think you get the picture.
Okay, so you may have already known about it thanks to the numerous leaks throughout websites, but I thought it’d be kinda cool to include a high-resolution gallery. So enjoy the wallpapers including widescreen formats. Muscle cars still ain’t my thing, and that retro-ism isn’t going so well for me either. Oh, well. It’s nice to hear that many of you still enjoy the ghetto styles.

Haha, I thought this was funny. ‘How to Get Out of a Car Gracefully Without Showing Your Knickers’ is what the video’s called. I think there doesn’t need to be much explanation for this. I think after the “Oops!” incident by Britney, all females should relate to this video and watch it at least once. Although I don’t think there’s much female readers on CNS, it’s a good laugh. It’s good to be a man.
Unfortunately, Daimler Chrysler could not put wraps on its upcoming minivan, which was said to have a more distinct and sportier look. Um… scratch that. The minivans you see here seems like official images that were sent to me by a CNS reader. You may notice that many websites have already been asked to remove the picture per request by DCX, hopefully that won’t happen here.
As you can see from the images, the new design isn’t particularly that great and has an extremely boxy look to shape. The lines don’t flow like the new Honda Odyssey or the Toyota Sienna. Hopefully the interior will inspire us more. Come on, Chrysler, even the Koreans got it right the first time.
Set for January 6th, GM announced yesterday that they will add three more celebrities to the exclusive list. The three include Jennifer Hudson, Christian Slater, and Jimmy Kimmel. Along with the addition of the three, we’ll see Carmen Electra, Mario Lopez, Cheryl Hines, Petra Nemcova, Vivica Fox, as well as many others.
However, we didn’t write this post just to announce the names of the celebrities participating. In the press release, if you read it from beginning to end, you’ll notice that:
In addition to some of the hottest names in entertainment, GM is bringing an array of classic designs and will unveil a new concept vehicle.
Now whether this is true or not, it might be a new concept vehicle as it says, or it’ll highly be the Camaro concept. I highly doubt it will be a new concept but hey, who says we don’t like surprises?
An exclusive teaser video, Jaguar released the small clip today to tease us of what’s to come of the new C-XF Concept and what we can expect. Right off the bat, we see a cool flipping navigation screen, which is also found on the Audi A8, in which with a press of a button, the navigation screen hides and tucks away itself neatly thanks to a few motors. You’ll also notice that when the center control knob is about to be used, there’s a cool James Bond action that takes place.
I’m not sure what is going on, but I was suppose to keep these kinds of news under wraps, that is, until I saw a fresh posting of the Chevrolet Malibu on Edmunds. So I just said: screw it. So here you are, new images and official information on Chevrolet Malibu. After a teaser was shown, I’d really wish they’d just keep the rear under the curtain, because it’s not pretty.
What do you do when you have competitors such as the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry gaining up sales while you keep falling? You go up and that’s what the new Malibu is expected to do: gain back its reputation. The new Malibu looks just as aggressive as any other competitor now, except maybe the rear.
The Malibu will be powered by a 252-horsepower 3.6-Liter V6, which is also available on the Saturn Aura. Controlled by a 6-speed automatic transmission, there will also be available steering-wheel mounted shifters. For the base model, the 2.4-Liter Ecotec 4-cylinder at 164 horsepowers in which the budget-friendly LS and LT trims will get a 4-speed automatic tranny.
A huge improvement from its predecessor, the two-tone colored interior really works, giving the new Malibu a taste of luxury and a more upscale feel. Now that the design is better than before, Chevrolet notes that we should get used to the new front end design, which will be the new face of future Chevrolet cars.
After Road&Track did an oops, we decided that we should do the same. Sometimes it’s just better to screw the embargo, that’s why we’re bringing you images of Dodge’s new trick under the hood. The better than before Viper SRT-10 for 2008, which boasts an extra 90 horsepowers under the hood, making the total power a fabulous 600hp. The new V10 will upgrade from 8.3-Liters to 8.4 with some tweaking here and there, all controlled by a new 6-speed TR6060 gearbox for a higher torque capacity.
Why not read on for more images as well as the press release, that’s right, the press release.
