The familiar OnStar service, which helped millions escape traffic and acted as an emergency communication device, is about to become quiet on millions of vehicles. The decision made by the Federal Communications Commission which allows all cell phone companies to turn off their analog networks, leaving many OnStar-equipped drivers on their own.
Who will be affected by this? Well, older cars equipped with OnStar relied on analog networks. Although some systems can be upgraded, others cannot. Newer cars such as the new Acura RL will also be affected.

Introducing the new way to help slow down traffic. This video shows how the phrase, “Sex Sells” actually turns into play. Although this may be a good idea, what about the kids riding in the backseat? And what will the majority of women drivers feel?
However, instead of improving traffic in Denmark, it’s actually creating traffic jams. Oh, men and their needs for females. Mm…

Shown above, Porsche has released a teaser photo of the new facelifted 2008 Porsche Cayenne, which has updated sheetmetal from all around. To note in the picture, Porsche will be release 3 versions of the Cayenne, which would be the Cayenne, Cayenne S, and the turbocharged Turbo S.

Nissan has just released the new 12th generation Skyline. Basically, it looks like the new upcoming 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan, except with minor accessories. Powered by a V6, the Skyline is available with 315 horsepowers. If only American vehicles looked like this…

Built at the Valmet Automotive plant in Uusikaupunki in Finland, Porsche is celebrating the production of its 200,000th Boxster. This unique vehicle was a meteor grey metallic Boxster S, which was delievered to a customer in the US. It has been 10 years since the production of the Boxster.

Okay, I’ve been extremely busy this week, trying to fix the problem that I found earlier on the website. But here is something to relieve your little minds. I’ve upped wallpapers of the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 30 to celebrate the GTI’s birthday. Enjoy the wallpapers!

Not really a surprise… the Lexus LS460 is Japan’s choice for Car of the Year. However, the list is quite controversial, as the Japanese chose more of brands from their homeland and put the Germans at the end.
Although I am aware that this award is only considered within Japan, vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class was ranked at number 8, which is quite shocking to hear. Personally, I’d put the S-Class on numero uno and the LS at second. Why? Just because the S-Class actually redefined the meaning of luxury sedans, while the LS just complements it.

If you’re wondering what’s that blue and white striped vehicle coming fast ahead of you from your rearview mirror, you better slow down. It may be the Italian police in their fancy Lamborghini donated to the police force to celebrate their 152th anniversary. Designed with speed in mind, this car is used for emergency situations, even with an organ transplant box attached. Unlike regular Lamborghini’s, this one features a video camera which sends live feeds to headquarters and can determine the speed of the car on the screen.
Pretty neat, eh?

I’ve added new wallpapers of the Chevrolet Sequel Concept, which was unveiled in China. Although this car may seem sporty, it’s up to GM to make sure this design actually goes into production, not like the current line-up. Enjoy the wallpapers, which are available in 1024×768, or 1600×1200.
