Featured Video: Who Killed the Electric Car?

As I was surfing through Google Video, I came across the documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?. But this was not just a clip, it’s the whole entire documentary. Interested by the ironic title, I watched the movie from beginning to end, and I must say it is quite interesting.

Edit: This full video was removed. So I can only find a trailer. But I highly recommend watching this.

Here is a preview of it below. You can read my useless rants and thoughts after watching the video, if you want.

Thoughts and Opinions

This video shows us exactly how much we are doing to “prevent” global warming. It also shows how easily humans are to be convinced into buying a product if it is properly advertised. First of all, the idea of Electric Vehicles is actually an extremely good idea, and by the looks of the video, it can sure run! But if they had sticked to this idea, none of that extra pollution to destroy the vehicles and the demolition of the charging stations wouldn’t be necessary.

“Who Killed the Electric Car” also made me think about the modern hybrid vehicles we currently have available to us. Will these vehicles become like the EV’s? Do we really have enough battery power? What are we going to do when these batteries run low or even, where will we put the dead batteries?

We, the people, killed the concept of an electric car. We killed the attempt to save our world. We killed that chance for a cleaner future. Hopefully, with modern technology, many of the modern car manufacturers will help produce an idea to save our peaceful earth, and actually stick to the idea. And to always preserve that idea, they must inform us about the positivity of owning such vehicles, or in other words, they should advertise like crazy.

This post is dedicated to you, Mr. Toyota Prius!
