In with the Astra, Out with the ION

Click below for high-resolution images of the Saturn Astra

Saturn will unveil the new Saturn Astra, which is rebadged from the Opel line-up in Europe, to replace the current ION sedan. The Saturn Astra will be available as a 3-door model or a 5-door model. The Astra will have 140-horsepowers under the hood, which is powered by a 1.8-Liter Ecotec 4-cylinder engine available in either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The Astra looks the same as the Opel counterpart inside and out, which isn’t so bad since the Astra hasn’t been subject to criticism in terms of appearance. Available options include a two-panel sunroof available on the 5-door model, heated cloth or leather seats, and six airbags are standard. Woah! Saturn unveiled its new VUE today and I really like it! Although it reminds me a lot of a Honda CR-V with its raked side design. But I must admit, the new design is kinda h-h-h-hot. I’ll try to add some more information when I have time tomorrow. Sorry for the late update, I really need a new computer. 😎

Enjoy the wallpapers of the Saturn Aura Green Line Hybrid edition. There’s not much change, only badges and that kind of stuff. Nothing special to see here, folks. Move along, unless you like the Aura, which I do. Saturn is doing a great job with their new vehicles so keep up the good work.

CarPhotoSite’s Beauty Pageant

Okay. After much controversy in the World’s Most Beautiful Automobiles post, I must first say that I did not create that list. I repeat, did not. That list was messed up anyways. So I have created my own little list for those who care to listen.

The list contains vehicles that you can find on the dealer lots today, not vehicles that are about to be introduced, so not to cause any controversy.

Video: Saturn Aura, Sky, and Vue

I was watching Desperate Housewives when this commercial came on. It’s quite inspiring, too. The new Sky and Aura are definately lookers. Saturn is doing a great job with its advertisements. The commercials actually brand a new meaning to the car manufacturer Saturn. Hopefully this will get more consumers to look into Saturn.

It seems that a lot of car commercials I have see use dandelions in the shots, haha. 😕
