Set to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 7th, the new MKR Concept will be a four-door four-seater. By looking at the pictures from Lincoln, we can see that the vehicle is not only a concept, but it holds the key to the future of Lincoln design.
We can expect to find the future face of Lincoln vehicle design, which are visible on the MKR concept with 7 predefined design elements and characteristics. To begin the characteristics, the MKR will have clean and uncluttered body surfaces; an aggressive belt-line; a beveled edge which will be parallel to the belt-line; a front grille that was inspired by the 1941 Continental Cabriolet; attached with thin, horizontal headlamp clusters; a smooth-flowing C-pillar; and lastly, an integrated roof-rail.
An inch longer than the current MKS concept, the MKR show car houses 415-horsepowers under the hood and is equipped with all-wheel-drive. Inside, the interior is lighted by an ice blue lighting illuminating the gauges, with cashmere covered seats and Mohair carpets.
Yes, a concepts are sure cool but sometimes a bit too unrealistic. Lincoln has announced that they will launch its new flagship sedan in 2008, and many things you see here on the MKR concept will be implemented. Looks like everyone wants a piece of that sexy-ness that the Mercedes-Benz CLS brought to the market.

Cadillac has released an exclusive image of the new redesigned CTS. Although there aren’t any information, we can see that the grill resembles largely to the Chevrolet Malibu teaser image we posted just yesterday, which has a new bold stance and a more recognizable presence. The new CTS will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January and production will begin by late-summer of 07.

Daimler Chrysler released numerous teaser images of the new concepts set to be unveiled at the NAIAS today. These concepts are known as the Jeep Trailhawk and the Chrysler Nassau, which Chrysler previously released sketches of earlier in November. The Nassau concept is a four-door coupe, which is similar to the Mercedes-Benz CLS, while the Jeep Trailhawk is known as a combination of the Jeep Wrangler and the popular Grand Cherokee.

Chevrolet revealed a small portion of the new Malibu set to debut at the North American International Auto Show showing the front grill of the Malibu. The new Malibu is set to be designed with more aggressiveness to compete with the mid-size sedan market, with a more bolder look and longer hood.
Inside, you can expect the two-tone colored interior, which Chevrolet released an image of, shown below, which they say will provide a more high-quality look with premium materials.

The new dual-port grille is set to represent to point the direction of styling for Chevrolet, which seems a lot like the grill from Audi and Volkswagen, which has been a huge success for Audi to provide more attention. But the interior, well, not so much. However, Chevrolet is heading the right way with its new designs so we can expect more and better vehicles made from this improving manufacturer.

Six finalists for the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards have been announced. The winners will be announced at the opening of the North American International Auto Show. The juries, who were made up of international automotive journalists, selected the Honda Fit, Saturn Aura, and the Toyota Camry as finalists in the car category, while the Chevrolet Silverado, new Ford Edge, and Mazda CX-7 were chosen as finalists for trucks.
My predictions for the winning car should be the Toyota Camry, as it has already won numerous awards and is among the favorites of most automotive reports, if not, then the Saturn Aura is set to win the award for its revolutionary design and quality on a General Motors car. As for the truck, it will most likely be the Mazda CX-7 or possibly the new Ford Edge, since both of these share the same crossover treatment and have become a favorite among most automotive journalists.

Ever wonder what’s missing from Lexus to compete with BMW’s M and Mercedes-Benz AMG performance lines? Well, Lexus is going to fill that gap, with the “F”-line, which we think stands for “Fast”. Lexus will introduce its first “F” vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in January next year.
For now, Lexus has given us a preview of the 2008 Lexus IS-F. Yeah, we love that dual-exhaust design… not. Guess I’ll need more photos to make me convinced.
Anyways, continue reading for one additional photo and the press release.
