Lexus Commercials are the BOMB
I fall in love with a Lexus commercial whenever I see one. I mean, seriously, you have no idea how inspirational they are and they make me want to buy a Lexus in the future so bad. I think you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see this commercial. Just for those who can’t understand the Spanish, using my small Spanish skills, they say:
“The pursuit of control…”
“The pursuit of potential…”
“The pursuit of emotion…”
“The pursuit of perfection.”
GOOSEBUMPS? Yes. Oh, the music, the words, the drama. It’s beautiful.
Update: Thanks Will for the translations.
Oprah’s Take on New Self-Parallel Parking LS

On today’s episode of Oprah, which showcased some of the latest inventions and gadgets that help change our lives. Among the cool inventions was the new Lexus LS460, which had the ability to self-parallel park. Oprah, in the driver’s seat, took hold of command and tried out the system for herself. Her initial reaction? “How cool was that!” Some of the notable impressions that she made when she stepped into the vehicle was her amazement of the interior, in which she complimented on.
The entire parking process for Oprah took about 4 minutes, however, her foot was tightly snugged on the brakes. Also interesting was that not only did she press the Start button, but held it for quite some time, until she realized that it was already starting up. Hopefully someone will post the video on YouTube or something.

To recap, the Lexus IS-F Series was produced to compete with the high-performance M3 as well as the AMG line from Mercedes-Benz. Although these reports have not been officially confirmed by Toyota, it’s highly possible that there might be more IS-F’s coming if sales increase.

Video: Premium Luxury Sedan Race-Off!
One word: Fun! I saw this video on YouTube and boy, it sure looks fun to be driving like that. Although in Japanese, the video shows a race-off between major luxury marques. There was the Audi A8, the new Lexus LS460, the Jaguar XJ-Series, and the BMW 745i. I was disappointed to see that they didn’t incorporate the Mercedes-Benz S-Class into the race since it fits into the category.
Anyways, watch the video for the winner. I won’t say who, but the race was pretty close anyways. I think you know who came in last. The video is courtesy of YouTube.

Lexus IS-F Teaser Image from Lexus a Photoshop Job?

Hahaha, I thought this was interesting. I was reading a post over at CarSpyShots and someone had pointed out that the picture could be photoshopped. I’m thinking that person is right. The rendering at the top of the exhaust seems strange for some reason. Just for your information, the photo came straight from the Toyota pressroom and I did not do anything with the photo. Anyways, this is just a small observation from me and may not be true. Good night and sleep tight.

NAIAS Preview: Lexus IS-F

Ever wonder what’s missing from Lexus to compete with BMW’s M and Mercedes-Benz AMG performance lines? Well, Lexus is going to fill that gap, with the “F”-line, which we think stands for “Fast”. Lexus will introduce its first “F” vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in January next year.
For now, Lexus has given us a preview of the 2008 Lexus IS-F. Yeah, we love that dual-exhaust design… not. Guess I’ll need more photos to make me convinced.
Anyways, continue reading for one additional photo and the press release.
Oh, I Love Technology
I love these parallel-parking commercials from Lexus! They just me excited everytime I see one. I’ve posted another one over at YouTube for those interested. This was so funny when I first saw it, especially: “If you hold the bunny ears at the exact position”. Hahaha. Enjoy it.

Wallpaper: 2007 Lexus LX470 Limited Edition
Tap a click on the image below for wallpapers:

I first saw a picture of the LX470 at the LA Motor Show on AutoSpies and was wondering what that bulky SUV was doing there. Little did I know that this was the Limited Edition of the LX, which was unveiled today. The Limited Edition of the LX470 receives some cosmetic changes, including a Black Onyx exterior color and it will feature 18-inch wheels with chrome door handles and all that jazz.
Apparently, there will only be 400 of these special ones made. I don’t know about you, but the LX isn’t all that cool and spending extra money on it for a limited model is kinda strange, don’t you think? You can continue reading for the full press release.

Car of the Year Japan 2006

Not really a surprise… the Lexus LS460 is Japan’s choice for Car of the Year. However, the list is quite controversial, as the Japanese chose more of brands from their homeland and put the Germans at the end.
Although I am aware that this award is only considered within Japan, vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class was ranked at number 8, which is quite shocking to hear. Personally, I’d put the S-Class on numero uno and the LS at second. Why? Just because the S-Class actually redefined the meaning of luxury sedans, while the LS just complements it.
Oh, well. Continue reading for full rankings.

Video: LS460 Backs-Up Into Parking Space
So, you’ve probably seen all the videos about the LS460 parallel parking, but I thought this one was a neat one. I did not know that it could backup into parking spaces too. I found this video, courtesy of the user “martin135usa“, of the LS460 backing up into a normal parking space. But of course, it also has the option of parallel parking too. This system does prove useful.
