Set for January 6th, GM announced yesterday that they will add three more celebrities to the exclusive list. The three include Jennifer Hudson, Christian Slater, and Jimmy Kimmel. Along with the addition of the three, we’ll see Carmen Electra, Mario Lopez, Cheryl Hines, Petra Nemcova, Vivica Fox, as well as many others.
However, we didn’t write this post just to announce the names of the celebrities participating. In the press release, if you read it from beginning to end, you’ll notice that:
In addition to some of the hottest names in entertainment, GM is bringing an array of classic designs and will unveil a new concept vehicle.
Now whether this is true or not, it might be a new concept vehicle as it says, or it’ll highly be the Camaro concept. I highly doubt it will be a new concept but hey, who says we don’t like surprises?
General Motors launched the first rollover crash test facility a few weeks ago, here’s the video that explains the work behind it, as well as clips of vehicles undergoing testing. So all of you may have heard that GM isn’t doing so well this year, and it may not do so well with the years to come. I’ve decided to start a weekly discussion, for those interested, about the future of General Motors.
Back in the golden days, GM was well-known for creating spectacular vehicles and moving machines. However, times have changed and GM is finding itself struggling to keep up with main competitors, leaving them with no choice but to sell, sell, and sell. By selling, this may mean selling their plants or selling their vehicles with the help of heavy promotion and discounts.
The vehicles of General Motors lay in the hands of most people who are in need of an affordable vehicle. What comes with that vehicle is years of trips to the dealers, thanks to General Motors’ history of vehicle quality, as this statement is supported by the data made by most automotive review magazines, such as Consumer Reports.
Yes, those concepts introduced by GM may seem cool, but when they appear into reality, everything is a major disappointment. General Motors has lost the connection and that special bond between it and its customers, which results in a huge decrease in sales.
So, in conclusion, there may not be a future for General Motors unless they get their act together and start producing and inventing vehicles that revolutionize the way we think about the future of automobiles, as well change the way we think about GM.
General Motors has announced the list of vehicles that they will be featuring at the L.A. Motor Show coming up next week. New models such as the new Saturn VUE, Buick Enclave, and the Cadillac DTS-L were previously known. Some other vehicles include environmental-friendly machines such as the Chevrolet Sequel Concept. As well, a hybrid version of the Saturn Aura and the GMC Yukon will also be unveiled, which should increase interest in GM vehicles.

The familiar OnStar service, which helped millions escape traffic and acted as an emergency communication device, is about to become quiet on millions of vehicles. The decision made by the Federal Communications Commission which allows all cell phone companies to turn off their analog networks, leaving many OnStar-equipped drivers on their own.
Who will be affected by this? Well, older cars equipped with OnStar relied on analog networks. Although some systems can be upgraded, others cannot. Newer cars such as the new Acura RL will also be affected.
