This is a rendering of what could be the next Audi A7, competitor to the Mercedes-Benz CLS. After the success of the CLS, many car manufacturers, including BMW, has plans to develop the next 4-door coupe. The A7 will most likely debut near 2009 and will most likely achieve its design cues from the upcoming R8.
It’s amazing how fast the world of automobiles have evolved. Just a few years ago, I was still watching the cars on the movie of iRobot, cars that amazed me, and cars that I knew that would never exist until a very long time. Well, that generation of cars has come. Introducing the Audi R8. It’s anything but ordinary. Here’s a video I found on YouTube with much computer animation. Enjoy it.

Rumor has it that the new upcoming sportscar Audi R8 will be available with a diesel version, according to Wolfgang Hatz in the Quattroruote magazine. To promote this idea, the R8 will further reduce the decibels of the engines. Sources say that power would be from under the hood of the diesel Audi Q7, which is available in a V12 TDI motor, which produces 500 horsepower.
