Audi announced today that it will start production of Audi’s popular A6 model in India in 2007. Audi has said that it would assemble the car in Aurangabad using materials and parts made in Germany, while the finished A6 will be sold to Indian consumers. The employees will be trained in Germany before the production begins at the factory in India. As well, Audi has noted that it plans to expand its current 3 dealers in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi, to 8 by the year 2008. Audi expects to sell 300 cars in India imported from Germany this year and by 2008, they hope to see that number increase to 1,000.

Remember the post where we told you that the final W203 C-Class rolled off the production line? Well, there’s more to add to that story. That post was published on December 14, and in the press release from Mercedes-Benz, it said:
With only a few weeks left to go until the world premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the last 203 series sedan is rolling off the assembly line today at the Sindelfingen plant…
The new C-Class was expected by many sources to be unveiled in March at the next Geneva Motor Show, yet it is not a “few” weeks away, rather, it should be “months” away. So now we’re guessing the new C-Class will be unveiled at the NAIAS in Detroit in January, with the public world premiere held at the Geneva Motor Show.
Superstar hip-hop singer Kelis will help promote Ford and its new Edge crossover vehicle by participating in a new marketing campaign, which includes the creation of a hit new song “Push it to the Edge” by Kelis for the campaign. You can begin to see the campaign take shape when it goes into full swing on December 20 on the radio, on print material, television and through the Internet.
Here’s a tiny snippet of the lyrics:
So clean in my Edge
Steady headed to the spot
Speakers bump thump thump
All you hearin’ on the blockI live life loud
Cause that’s the only way to live it
I push it to the Edge
Never stop at the limit.
I don’t know about you, but Kelis isn’t the right celebrity to help promote a vehicle, in my opinion. She’s just so Bossy!

Saab announced today that it will give a free new Saab to any customer from the US who has a million miles or more in the Saab that the person has purchased new. The announcement was made after a Saab owner, Peter Gilbert, reached the million miles in his 1989 Saab. As a result, he will enjoy a free brand new Saab 9-5, which is retailed at $38,735. Of course, Saab will make sure that the odometer hasn’t been tampered with. Too bad this only goes for Saab vehicles, because I would want to do this with my car.

Chevrolet revealed a small portion of the new Malibu set to debut at the North American International Auto Show showing the front grill of the Malibu. The new Malibu is set to be designed with more aggressiveness to compete with the mid-size sedan market, with a more bolder look and longer hood.
Inside, you can expect the two-tone colored interior, which Chevrolet released an image of, shown below, which they say will provide a more high-quality look with premium materials.

The new dual-port grille is set to represent to point the direction of styling for Chevrolet, which seems a lot like the grill from Audi and Volkswagen, which has been a huge success for Audi to provide more attention. But the interior, well, not so much. However, Chevrolet is heading the right way with its new designs so we can expect more and better vehicles made from this improving manufacturer.

Here’s a video of BMW’s all-wheel-drive system, the xDrive, at work. There’s a lot of sliding, but the xDrive does a pretty good job considering the icy conditions the vehicles are in. Although with the sliding, it still seems to remain traction and does not fall too far off the road. The question now is: is it good enough to compete with the legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive from Audi?

It appears that Infiniti’s little secret compartment, which is used to store the first aid kit, is a great place to smuggle guns. Officers in the NYPD found guns stored in the backseat compartment of a 2006 Infiniti G35 located in the armrest and advises all officials to become alert of the secret storage areas which can be used to store illegal items.
What does this mean to you? With all the new designs that car manufacturers are coming up with to save space and storage, the police are sure to find a secret compartment somewhere in the car. So it’s best to leave those drugs elsewhere.
