It looks like the Chrysler group has been introducing its series of “Replaced” commercials, in which a rival car is replaced by vehicles from Chrysler for comparison. It’s funny because all the vehicles replaced in these commercials are Japanese brands. Some example vehicles include the Toyota Avalon, and the Nissan Pathfinder.
Anyways, enjoy the videos by continuing reading this post. The first video shows a Toyota Avalon being replaced by the 300, the second features a Toyota Sienna minivan replaced by the Dodge Grand Caravan, and the final video shows a Nissan Pathfinder being replaced by the Jeep Commander.
If it was me, I would never choose a Chrysler over the competing cars. They have bad sense of build quality and such, but that’s just my opinions, so don’t be hating. My mom used to own a Chrysler so…

Enjoy this video of a series of commercials for the Mini Cooper. Like I said before in my posts, I’m not a huge fan of small compact cars, but I guess this would go in my books of “cool-factor”. However, I wish it was a bit more aggressive, I’m guessing the circular headlights don’t really do much to improve the masculinity factor.
Anyways, enjoy this video. I liked the last bit the best.

Unveiled at the Essen motor show, I’ve uploaded wallpapers of the Volkswagen Passat R36 and Variant R36 models. This thing goes from 0-100km/h in just 5.6 seconds. I love it. Not quite sure about the blue color though.

It looks like BMW will not join with major German carmakers such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Audi to market the diesel plan in the United States under the BLUETEC, which BMW refuses to use.
BMW is planning to use a name that is much different from BLUETEC and wants to develop a urea-based technology to reduce harmful gases before considering coming to the United States.
We may see the introduction of BMW’s new diesel technology at the L.A. Motor Show.

A Volkswagen V10 TDI successfully towed a Boeing 747, weighing at almost 155 tonnes. After an unsuccessful attempt to tow a 190 tonne Boeing 747-400, an ex-British Airways Boeing 747-200 weighing 155 tonnes was brought to test, which resulted in a successful attempt.
Conditions were far from perfect, as there was strong headwinds, and the rainy weather resulted in a wet tarmac. Despite these horrible conditions, the Touareg managed to tow the aircraft without strain.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has released the list of winners that has won the top safety pick awards for 2007. In total, there are 13 winners, which includes 4 cars, 7 SUV’s, and 2 minivans. Honda/Acura and Subaru had the most awards of the list. And to note, there aren’t any American brands on the list either.
This year, SUV’s are now qualified for entry, however, trucks are still not being considered due to the fact that IIHS has not begun to test their side crash capabilities. American vehicles such as the Ford Five Hundred would have been considered only if it were to come with electronic stability control as standard. Some vehicles, such as many Toyota vehicles, could have won the award if only the vehicles had better seat/head restraints.
Check out the list of winners and the list of should-be winners if their head restraints were also rated well.

To be unveiled in January at the North American International Auto Show, General Motors has released a teaser image of the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu interior. Featuring a dual cockpit design, the car will be available with two-tone colors. Hopefully the 2008 model will be much more aggressive than the current outgoing model, which is pretty boring to my tastes.
